Bogle 11th overall at Daytona

(Madera, CA, March 7th, 2022) – The 9th round of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series took place at the historic Daytona International Speedway. The unique round didn’t disappoint, with a huge fan turnout and a track designed by Suzuki legend Ricky Carmichael. The team took part in the festivities, with Adam Enticknap hitting the Progressive Insurance stage for a special interview. The team set up the Sunday after the race at Home Depot with WD-40 for a unique promotional event. The team signed autographs and gave rig tours while the mechanics prepped their race bikes.

Justin Bogle #19: Strong night for Justin Bogle at Daytona with 11th overall in the 450-premier class. After recovering from a crash in the heat race that dropped him out of qualifying positions into the Last Chance Qualifier, Bogle got the job done right away and won the LCQ. He carried that momentum into the main event, managing his late gate pick and fighting for his 11th place overall.

“Daytona was better,” said Justin Bogle. “I felt better in practice and qualifying. Heat race I had a little issue, went down, and didn’t end up qualifying. I had to go to the LCQ. Luckily, I had an uneventful LCQ. I got the win there. I got a little extra track time; that didn’t hurt. Rode a lot better in the main event I was in the fight, and we made a lot of progress. Just outside the top ten ended up 11th, and that’s something to hang on to. We are doing some testing this week. We are going to try some things to get more comfortable. I’m excited about what’s to come. We are going to keep improving and fighting. That’s what we are here to do, and tonight was a lot more enjoyable night.”

Brandon Hartranft #41: Up and down round for Hartranft at Daytona with 17th place overall. Brandon had a strong heat race and was in the mix the entire time, finishing in 7th place. He struggled in the main event with the track and bike problems, but still managed to finish the race 17th overall in the 450-premiere class.

“Rode really good all day until the main event,” said Brandon Hartranft. “I had a strong practice and a first qualifying session. I struggled with the shadows and the sun going down in the final qualifying session. The heat race went smooth. I was battling with Brayton, and I finished in 7th. In the main event, I didn’t ride well; I wasn’t jelling with the track. We are going to be testing this week in Florida. I’m looking forward to making some progress and kicking some butt next weekend.”

“Daytona is a staple of the supercross season,” said Team Manager Dustin Pipes. “It brings an extra level of pressure with it. With that being said, I thought the team handled the extra pressure with it. It wasn’t easy as Justin and Brandon experienced transponder problems in qualifying practice, and Justin had a wreck in the heat, causing him to go to the LCQ. Justin rode more to his potential, finishing 11th overall. Brandon experienced some bike problems that relegated him to 17th overall. We have a busy week of testing schedule and plan to start the next round in Detroit on the right foot. It was also great to have Adam at the racetrack after his injury to help his teammates and see the fans.”
