Hartranft 9th overall at the Atlanta Motor Speedway

(Madera, CA, April 18th, 2022) – Twisted Tea/H.E.P. Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance, had an intense day in Atlanta for the 14th round of the series. Brandon Hartranft leads the team’s way with 9th overall in the 450cc premier class, subsequently moving into the top ten in series points. Justin Bogle was on his way to another stellar performance before an opening lap mishap forced him to come into mechanics row before returning. Adam Enticknap road well in his second race back from a six-week absence due to a neck injury earlier in the series.

Brandon Hartranft #41:  Atlanta was a strong round for the young 450 premiere class rider. Brandon moved into 10th place for series points with another top ten finish. Hartranft road well in his heat race, finishing in 5th place. He carried that momentum into the main event, worked his way inside the top ten, and into 9th place, where he finished the race.

“I think we got very lucky with the rain,” said Brandon Hartranft. “We had one qualifying session; it was super muddy. I got a decent start in the heat race and finished in 5th. The track was very challenging, but I felt good. It was solid main for 9th place. I ended the round healthy, and I moved into the top ten for points., I am ready to return home, have another solid week, and be ready for Foxborough.”

Justin Bogle #19:  Tenacious effort from Bogle in Atlanta. Justin got a great start in his heat race and pulled the holeshot. He ran up front before eventually settling into 4th place, where he finished. It looked like it would be the same start for the main event. Bogle got a significant jump off the gate but hit a tuff block in the first rhythm section that bent his shifting lever. Justin entered mechanics row, and the crew quickly remedied the situation, but Justin was now laps down and out of the race. He did not quit; he rode hard until the end and finished in 21st place.

“Rough weekend for me,” said Justin Bogle. “I had a close call at the press day that made for a good video but not a good time. I got a good start in the heat; I didn’t ride well, but I ended up 4th. I got a good start in the main event, but I had an issue in the first rhythm section, and I bent my shifting lever badly. I had to come into the mechanics row to get it fixed. I came back a few laps down and ended up last. Just glad to get out here healthy for next weekend.”

Adam Enticknap #722: Returning to the team in only his second race back from a six-week absence due to a neck injury, Enticknap put his RM-Z450 Suzuki in the main event again. He finished 20th overall.

“This weekend went better,” said Adam Enticknap. “Coming off a six-week injury, this was my second race back. I definitely made improvements. It was a solid day for me. I made it thru the LCQ and into the main event. Unfortunately, I am not as in the shape I want to be, so I have to keep pushing in the right direction and get ready for Foxborough.”

“Overall, it was a-okay day,” said Team Manager Dustin Pipes. “I think we left a little bit on the table. It was a short program, one qualifying, so every lap mattered. I think they got thru practice well. The heat races went well for Justin and Brandon, who easily qualified for the main. Adam, unfortunately, had some problems on the first lap, so he had to go to the LCQ, where he transferred in. The main event was a little rough. Brandon got 9th and moved into the top ten in points. Justin had a mechanical issue and a couple of falls that relegated him. Adam needs to work on putting his qualifying speed into the main event, and he should get some better results. I am looking forward to Foxborough. We are hosting the Boston Beer Family. So Twisted Tea will be there, and we are hoping to have a standout show there.”

Team Twisted Tea/H.E.P. Suzuki heads to Boston, MA for the 15th round of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. Qualifying begins at 9:00 AM EST on Peacock TV. The first gate drop is at 3:00 PM EST on NBC & Peacock TV.
